The Kollective Presents - Lotus 10/14

Philadelphia's Lotus will be bringing their own brand of instrumental dance-funk to the Murray Theater on October 14th on their "Pay What You Want Tour". That is right: "The Pay What You Want Tour." It means exactly what it says, following Radiohead's pay what you want record model and taking it into the concert world and allowing fans and concert goers to pay what you think is fair for their concert experience.

Lotus was formed in the late 1990s as a way to fight against the conservative minded nature of the Mennonite College the band were going to. The music evolved into what it is today, an easily groovable electronic-rock showcase. The band has spent the last ten years working the touring circuit and having their music remixed by some of the best names in the electronic world.

Lotus is known for their live shows which involve a very large light rig and a highly energetic show on behalf of the band's members. They have toured the world and now coming to Utah to support their new dual EP selections Oil on Glass and Feather on Wood releasing October 6th.
